Location: San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento
As a Personal Assistant for Luminous Pathways, you will be responsible for the following job functions:

• Respite Care
• Non-medical transportation
• Personal Assistant

Respite care is a special name for short term caregivers. Respite care can take place in a client’s home and special day centers.

Nonmedical transport is defined as transportation provided by private or public vehicle for
people who do not have a way to get to their appointments or weekend programs. Employees
are compensated for the cost of transportation at .65 a mile.
Each individual client is evaluated and then provided with a program to help them learn new skills.

As a personal assistant you will help teach skills and take clients to their outings.
These skills range from:
• Personal grooming
• Meal Preparation
• Housekeeping
• Support to learn how to be independent in travel or getting transportation
• Development of appropriate social skills
• Self-advocacy
• Informed choice skills
